Amazon FBA labels have 3 requirements:
- FNSKU, or Fulfillment Network Stock Keeping Unit
- Product Name
- Product Condition (“New,” “Used,” etc.)
The FNSKU is the most significant part. It may seem inconvenient to make new labels when your product’s label already has an SKU, but Amazon has a good reason for it. Because other merchants may be selling the same item, a normal UPC or other SKU would be ineffective. Each product and seller has its own FNSKU, which creates a consistent system that operates across all Amazon warehouses.
When you add a new product to your catalog, Amazon automatically creates FNSKU codes for the items. In Seller Central’s Inventory area, you can see all of your products’ FNSKUs.
